Conventions of each genre.

Here are the conventions for the genres, Thriller, Horror and Rom-Com Ive learnt since starting this unit of work what the conventions of each genre are and how crucial certain conventions are for defining with genre a film falls into. I've also learnt that some of these conventions can link to the target audience, such as the 'girly, lovey-dovey' aspect of Rom-Coms often appeals to a female audience rather than a male audience. Since learning these conventions, I've learnt also how they link to marketing, such as defining a films genre purely from the film poster, I've displayed this in my Film Poster Analysis post.
